1. Role: This position will focus on sourcing and purchasing from local and/or oversea to support factory extension and growing. He/She will be responsible for handling the company’s end to end sourcing operations as well as be able to appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analysing the company’s spending, supplying partnerships and new opportunities. She/he will need to manage the suppliers for daily production issues come up, negotiating for any sudden changes needed for the benefit of the company.
2. Main duty:
- Analyse and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure
- Invent and execute negotiation strategies and secure profitable deals
- Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
- Cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
- Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques
- Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers
- Manage overall supply base performance in terms of cost, lead time, delivery, quality and responsiveness
- Conduct competitive analysis
- Purchase supplies and materials according to demand requirements, purchasing guidelines and request from end users from multiple teams
3. Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience as sourcing/purchasing in a technical field such as: facility constructions, equipment/ machinery, fixtures.
- Experience preferably in supply chain management functions under manufacturing or consumer goods setting
- Good understanding of supply chain management-procurement such as order management, supplier management, quality, lead time etc.
- Good problem-solving skill, strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, sensitive to figures and strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Positive working attitude and willing to learn
- A self-starter with a ‘hands-on’ approach. Able to work under pressure. Eager to drive key initiatives and see them through to successful implementation
- Excellent speaking and writing in English.
