Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Manage and supervise a group of Toolingengineers, direct the resource and talent to achieve new project goal andenhance the value of current product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:
1.       Participateas a member of the department’s management team in the new tooling, duplicatetooling process, product engineering system enhance the communication betweencross-functional team members and other general management and administrativeactivities.

2.       Hire, develop and motivate highlycompetent, responsive engineering staff and plan for future needs. Supplytraining an guidance to them

3.       Prepare project budgets, statusreports and other reports as necessary to effectively manage the projectactivity.

4.       Work with cross-function team andother expert teams to ensure that project development direction is correct andthe tooling specifications and injection parameter are clear.

5.       Tooling design review (DFM) andapproval to vendor for tooling build up.

6.       Capable to do mold flow analysisfor plastic tooling and Magma for die casting analysis.

7.       Tooling schedule monitoring andmake sure there is no delay for each stage.

8.       Allocate the resources properlyper the project priorities to ensure timely project release within Budget.

9.       Review design documentation toensure the design guidelines is followed, quality system requirements areadhered.

10.      Develop Tooling, Injection,Die-casting platform/guide line/Capture know how.

11.      Conduct improvement and costreduction of existing product.

12.      Coordinate with program teams tomonitor Tooling development.

13.      Mission of introducing innovation into the teams. Built-in innovative idea into the products.    

Job Requirement

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

University Degree in Mechanical, Industrial,Production or other related Engineering discipline or equivalent

Experience:
1.       Atleast 8 years experience in small appliance or Plastic and die-casting toolingdevelopment in which at least 5 years experience in leading Tooling team.

2.       Can design the complex moldincluding over-mold, hot runner with multi-slide blocks, know how to choose thecorrect steel material for different plastic material.

3.       Excellent experience onoptimization the mold design to reduce the injection cycle time and use theproper machine size to control the part cost.

4.       Can analyze the product designissues that may impact the mold fabrication, mold life and may cause themolding issues, and optimize the design accordingly.

5.       Be able to analyze dimensionchain, well understand GD&T Excellent ability on tooling projectmanagement. Be sensitive on the potential schedule and technical risk. Getproblems solved it in time. A person with PMP certificate will be priority butno limited.

Knowledge:

1.Proficiency in computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, MicrosoftProject.

2. Fluent in spoken and written English

3. Good communication, listening and interpersonal skills

4. Independent, able to work pro-actively and effectively, self-starter andhardworking.

5. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Tooling Supervisor.
