Job Description

Position Summary

Under the supervision of Lab Manager, senior project engineer performs required work for the projects (including but not limit budgeting, planning, material/fixture preparation and purchasing). He also works closely with TE to calculate the material/HC requirement for the project, work with TST team to purchase the requirement fixture for the project on time.

Key Responsibilities

Feasibility

  • Work with project team about the timeline and resource requirement for the testing
    • Budget
    • Material
    • Headcount
    • Fixture.
  • Prepare the plan for allocation the resource to the project
    • When and how much for testing material
    • When, duration and how many HC we need for the project
    • When and the duration for making the fixture
  • Control the WH material and actually daily material delivery

Others

  • Follow up testing, follow up failure analysis and allocate the resource timely
  • Keep resource file as most updated.

Follow up continuous product improvement actions

Job Requirement

Person Specifications

  • Bachelot degree in mechanical engineering
  • At least five year experience in electronic product, in power tools and the manufacturing process associated with these materials.
  • With team spirit, self-motivate and proactive
  • Leadership Competencies (LC) required:

  • Drive innovation and change
  • Promote teamwork
  • Develop self and others
  • Take initiative.
  • Functional Competencies (FC) required:

    .  In-depth knowledge of planning and testing

    .  Demonstrated capability of development and implementation of new product designs.

     Good analytical skill.

    Position Factors

    Impact of the position

     Use most efficient resource to perform the testing requirement. This has significant impact on the testing timeline, testing cost and testing quality.

    Relationship Internal

    Active interaction with other functional team members within the company and address new product development planning.

     External

      Active interaction with suppliers to ensure component specification and application are thoroughly understood, ensure the delivery date to satisfy the testing period. Provide technical support to the supplier.
