Position Summary
Responsible to guide and lead a group of lab technicians to perform testing and provide technical support to ensure test performed accurately. To verify test data and test report review.
Key Responsibilities
- Guides and leads a group of technicians by providing mentoring, training, and scheduling.
- Delegates and assigns tasks/projects to technician to perform accordingly.
- Demonstrates good technical judgment in troubleshooting and identifying process improvement opportunities and techniques.
- Designs and implements experiments to address specific scientific problems.
- Develops the test reports accurately and concise technical information and documentation, especially that which relates to the products.
- Plans and arranges the manpower, schedule, and equipment required for each test request.
- Reviews test results for accuracy and completeness prior to releasing the test report.
- Recognizes unexpected or unreasonable results and/or testing delays, bringing unusual situations or problems to the attention of the Supervisor or the above.
- Recognizes instrument and equipment malfunctions and notifies appropriate personnel. Troubleshoots malfunctioning instruments or equipment according to protocols, referring major problems to the Supervisor or the above.
- Communicates information such as test results, normal ranges, and requirements to test requester. Answers questions addresses concerns and provides laboratory services as needed.
- Demonstrates laboratory technical skills to new employees. Assists in the orientation and training of new employees.
Person Specifications

- Bachelor in Mechanical / Electrical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
- One or above years of testing experience in electrical home appliance
- Ability to read and write in English is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Functional Competencies (FC) required:
Order Processing
Good computer skills. Oracle background preferred
Test Knowledge:
Able to solid understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and can organize complex sets of data, make sound conclusions.

Impact of the position
The department has the responsibility of testing and qualifying all products manufactured at TTA. Accurate and efficient function of the department ensures development projects can meet schedule and reliability/quality of existing production is maintained.
