Job Description


  • Test Design and Development: Design and develop test plans and procedures to evaluate the reliability of lithium-ion cells. This includes defining test objectives, selecting appropriate test conditions, and identifying necessary equipment and instrumentation.
  • Test Execution: Conduct reliability tests on lithium-ion cells according to established procedures. Monitor and record test parameters, collect data, and perform data analysis to assess cell performance, aging characteristics, and failure modes.
  • Failure Analysis: Investigate and analyze the root causes of lithium-ion cell failures. Utilize various diagnostic techniques, such as microscopy, spectroscopy, and electrochemical analysis, to identify failure mechanisms and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Test Equipment and Infrastructure: Maintain and calibrate test equipment, including environmental chambers, battery cyclers, and safety monitoring systems. Ensure the availability of necessary test infrastructure and resources for conducting reliability tests.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed test reports documenting test procedures, results, and conclusions. Communicate findings to stakeholders, including engineering teams, management, and external partners, and provide recommendations for design enhancements or process improvements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines related to lithium-ion battery testing. Ensure that all reliability tests are conducted in compliance with these requirements.
  • Collaboration and Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders to provide technical expertise and support in the development and improvement of lithium-ion cell designs and manufacturing processes.

Job Requirement


  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Electrochemistry, Physical Chemistry, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 01-year experience for Manufacturing company.
  • Experience in designing and conducting reliability tests for lithium-ion cells, such as cycle life tests, C-rate tests, aging and storage tests, thermal abuse tests, short-circuit tests and vibration tests.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment and data acquisition tools commonly used in battery testing.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and data interpretation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct failure analysis and troubleshoot issues.Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as UN 38.3, IEC 62133, and ISO 17025. – Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document test procedures and present findings to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and a strong commitment to safety.
